"The Unexpected"

Having read the text, I had double feeling – for the man and for the woman. But “The Unexpected” deeply touched me, and I can explain why. Well, after the first reading I didn’t go deep into its problem. I didn’t look for it so carefully as had to, as I thought the problem was below the surface. But I couldn’t deny the fact that if the author had written that text, she had done with some sense that should be much deeper from the surface.

  1. I agree with you Darya.I think that to understand this story you need to do some investigation on the background, and only after that you find out that the main idea is lying on the surface.Everything becomes quite clear then.)))

  2. Yes, Darya, you said about depth of this story I agree with you and I think that Dorothea had no depth enough in her love to Randall. This problem leads to her desire to break up their engagement after she saw how weak and unattractive he has become.
